The Journey So Far

From Sonic the Hedgehog to the Prince of Persia & God Of War series, I’ve always been in awe of how immersive and breath-taking games can be! They take us through the reimagination of existing ideas and concepts, while still being fun. What really cemented my gaming passion, however, was the retelling of Greek mythologies in God Of War - from Medusa and her stoney gaze to Zeus and the Pantheon.

A desolate world. One train. One droid conductor. As humanities final hope, you must collect and craft as many resources as you can to the end. And survive till the end! All for humanity to survive!

Taking inspiration from Alien: Isolation, I conceptualized a level with similar dark and trepid themes in mind. All while working within the dimensional and game mechanic constraints provided.

The Mayan Pyramid

Inspired by a scene in the Chinese anime, Mi Yu Xingzhe (Uncharted Walker), I designed a level with the central mechanic of water control in mind.

As part of my job at PlayShifu, I helped design the prototype version of the game while helping the dev team with certain camera effects used in the game.
